Penang Waldorf Education seeks to appoint a Gardening Teacher for February 2025.
The Gardening Teacher at Penang Waldorf Education will be responsible for introducing students to the basics of gardening and plant care. Teacher will guide students through various gardening activities, such as planting seeds, watering plants, and observing their growth, helping them develop a strong connection with nature.
In addition to teaching practical gardening skills, the Gardening Teacher will maintain the school’s garden area, ensuring it is safe and conducive to student learning. The teacher will encourage students to care for the environment, highlighting topics such as sustainability and the role of plants in our daily lives. Lessons will be designed to be fun, interactive, and educational, helping students appreciate nature while fostering creativity and curiosity.
- This position will require both indoor classroom teaching and outdoor gardening activities. The teacher should be comfortable with physical tasks like planting, watering, and maintaining the garden. Additionally, the teacher will collaborate with other staff members to integrate gardening lessons into the broader school curriculum and monitor student progress in gardening activities.
