KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure parts are purchased according to Engineering Specifications and at competitive
market price.
- Actively source for new external providers and follow up on evaluation results such as
quality, costs, delivery and commitment level of new or potential vendor.
- Coordinate with production personnel and external providers on orders control based on
production plan requirement.
- Liaise with external providers for corrective action request related to their quality or delivery
problems.
- Maintain purchasing record and prepare report as needed for audit.
- Maintain confidentiality of purchasing data and records.
- To undertake any other related jobs directed by the superior.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs)
- Candidates with resourceful contacts of broad external provider base in fabrication
engineering and standard parts are preferred.
- Candidates with skill in negotiation for the best cost and good sourcing channels are
preferred.
- Candidates with positive attitude, honesty and Integrity are preferred.
- Candidates with detail-oriented work style and organizational skills are preferred.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum diploma or bachelor's degree in Business/ Supply Chain Management/
Procurement/related field.
- At least 3 years or working experience in purchasing, buying or procurement department of
Automation/ Tooling Industries is preferred.
- Proficiency or knowledge in ERP system preferred.
- Language proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese and English (to
