Brief Job Description:

As a Sales and Application Engineer, you will use your technical knowledge along with sales skills to provide engineering support and advice on a range of company products. And also provide hands-on technical support for our core product installation, troubleshooting, repairing and preventive maintenance at company workshop or customers sites.

Responsibilities:

1. Explore new market segment to search for new customers who could benefit from company’s product within designated region.

2. Maintain and build up good relationship with new or existing customers. Manage and interpret customer requirements to ensure the product or service is best fitted to the customer needs.

3. Handle reports which include of service reports and respond to technical issues pertinent to our range of product or service performance and system solutions.

4. Travelling to visit clients, ensure to call regularly customers to maintain good relations and follow up on leads.

5. Preparing quotation, close sales, co-ordinate sales projects, providing pre-sales and after sales technical assistant, conduct training and product presentation when necessary.

6. Update daily sales activities towards achieving regular sales targets.

7. Assist in marketing in trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.

8. Undertake any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma / Degree in Engineering / Mechanical / Electronic or equivalent experience.
  • 2 - 3 years sales experience in a technical field is a plus.
  • English and Bahasa Malaysia literacy.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be willing to travel most of the time.
  • Possess own car and a valid driving license.
  • Proficient in use of MS Office Applications (Words, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Multitasking, able to work well under stress in a fast paced environment, excellent interpersonal skills, result driven, technical problem solving skills. 
  • Ability to establish rapport and build long-term relationships with customers.
