Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing project costs, ensuring financial efficiency, and contributing to the successful delivery of our projects. You will work closely with the project management team to oversee cost planning, procurement, and contract administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop cost estimates, budgets, and detailed bills of quantities for structural framework and warehouse projects.
- Prepare and manage tender and contract documents, including subcontractor and supplier negotiations.
- Conduct cost control and value engineering to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
- Manage progress claims, variations, and final accounts to maintain financial transparency.
- Collaborate with project teams to address cost implications during planning and execution.
- Monitor and assess risks associated with costs and contracts, providing mitigation strategies where necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market rates, industry trends, and local regulations.
- Provide professional advice on contractual and financial matters, resolving disputes effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a contractor firm, with exposure to structural and industrial construction projects.
- Comprehensive understanding of cost estimation, tendering, and construction methodologies.
- Proficiency in contract law and local building codes and standards.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, cost management tools).
- Proficiency in Chinese and English (spoken and written) is preferred to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
