Safety & Health Officer

Job description:

• Carry out safety induction for new workers/subcontractors workers prior entering Segaliud WTP site.
• Coordinate, monitor and report on Safety and Health performance including hazard & risk management, reporting and investigation of incidents/accident, dangerous occurrences, occupational diseases, safety audits and inspection
• Issuing and approving the permit to work (PTW) for workers/subcontractors workers in Segaliud WTP site before start work, monitoring and reviewing the work, closing the permit and conducting post-work evaluation.
• Establish and maintain overall policies, and procedures and ensure the safety of operating all machines and equipment in the Segaliud WTP site.
• Conduct safety and health committee meetings regularly to ensure management and employees are aware of hazards.
• Inspect the workplace to determine if machinery, plant, equipment, substances, appliance, and process at the workplace are safe for the work environment
• Deal and liaise with government departments (JANS ,DOSH ,NIOSH ,DOE ,BOMBA ,etc.) for all the matters regarding environmental, safety and health in Segaliud WTP site.
• Carry out incident investigation reports and develop emergency response plan procedures to address the incident

Job Requirement

• At least a degree in Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental Engineering or subject related to Safety & Health
• Minimum 3 years’ working experiences in related position/ industry
• Must be a registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH/ NIOSH with valid Green Book Holder • Good knowledge in legal requirements , safety and health practices
• Good report preparation, communication, and interpersonal skills with internal and external parties
• Self-motivated, able to work with minimum supervision
• Good computer literacy
