Field Service Technician
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair Automatic Identification Data Capture (AIDC) equipment, including:
- Thermal Transfer Printers (Desktop, Table-top, Mobile)
- Handheld Scanners
- Mobile Scanners/Terminals
- Other related products (onsite or offsite)
- Study blueprints, schematics, operator and service manuals, and other specifications to understand installation and servicing procedures.
- Set up or oversee the installation of equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Operate and demonstrate equipment to end users.
- Provide end-user training upon equipment installation.
- Assist customers (end users or engineers) with service or support needs.
- Consult with engineering personnel to resolve unusual issues in system operation and maintenance.
Requirements
- Possess at least a Diploma in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- Candidates without a Diploma but with relevant work experience are encouraged to apply.
- Fresh graduates are welcome, as on-the-job training will be provided.
- Proven work experience as a field service technician (if applicable).
- Basic knowledge of equipment control and troubleshooting methods/skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Customer-oriented with effective communication skills.
- Related work experience with Thermal Printers or Scanners (e.g., Sato, Zebra, Honeywell, OKI, Epson, Citizen) is an added advantage.
