The Head of Sales ( Malaysia) is responsible for overseeing the monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales budget for the branch. This role involves leading a team of Account Executives, monitoring their performance against individual targets, ensuring adherence to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and maintaining the integrity of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Sales Budget Management
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
- Oversee and manage the sales budget for the branch on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, forecast future sales, and prepare reports for senior management.
Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Account Executives to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and development opportunities.
- Foster a positive and competitive team environment that encourages continuous improvement.
Performance Monitoring
- Monitor individual and team performance against established targets and KPIs.
- Implement corrective actions when necessary to ensure targets are met.
- Provide regular performance updates to senior management.
CRM Management
- Ensure the CRM system is up-to-date with accurate and complete information on customers, companies, and deals.
- Monitor the use of CRM by the sales team and provide training to ensure compliance.
- Utilize CRM data to inform sales strategies and improve customer relationship management.
Customer Relations
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives.
- Resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely manner.
Sales Strategy Development
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth specific to the branch.
- Identify new market opportunities and customer segments.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales strategies with business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience:
- Above 4 years of experience in sales or a related field, with at least 2 years in a management role.
- Experience in handling corporate secretarial functions and understanding of statutory requirements.
Skills:
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
