The Architectural Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction, in particular the finishes phase of a construction project. This role ensures that the projects meet design standards, are completed on time, and are compliant with relevant regulations. The Architectural Supervisor works closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure quality, efficiency, and effective communication throughout the project life cycle.
Job Responsibilities:
- Motivated to work proactively and contribute in a group environment.
- Able to receive and understand instructions and then execute with no prejudice and good judgement.
- Able to liaise with client and consultants’ representatives on all site matters including preparation and submission of RFI and execution of relevant task to the corresponding Architect instruction.
- Able to monitor and minimize material and manpower wastage at site
- Able to ensure that all works carried out are in accordance to the drawings, specifications, construction plan, approved procedures, work instruction etc.;
- Able to coordinate and monitor subcontractors’ activities, i.e. details, sequence of work and compliance to work programme at site;
- Review architectural drawings, designs, and models for quality, accuracy, and adherence to project specifications. Ensure compliance with zoning laws, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Work with the project manager to develop and maintain project timelines and budgets. Ensure that projects are completed within scope, on schedule, and within budgetary constraints.
- Identify and address potential risks during the construction phase. Mitigate risks by making proactive decisions and working with subcontractors to avoid delays.
- Ensure that all architectural work complies with local, state, and federal regulations, including building codes, safety standards, and environmental laws.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, materials, technologies, and building practices. Recommend improvements in architectural processes and designs to enhance efficiency and creativity.
Job Requirements:
- Candidates must possess at least a Diploma in Civil Engineering or architectural works in building constructions.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design or construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role in a project previously assessed with QLASSIC or CONQUAS.
- Strong technical knowledge and capability to solve technical and site issues.
- Positive contributions and co-operation with external contractors, consultants and client
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to use drafting software and surveying equipment are required.
- The primary work locations may vary based on project or business needs.
- The candidate should be flexible and willing to travel within the Klang Valley as required.
