- In this role, you will manage end-to-end freight operations for shipments originating in Asia to destinations across the US, Europe, China, and Australia. You will work closely with forwarders, carriers, and 3PLs to secure space, optimize container utilization, and resolve capacity or scheduling challenges to ensure seamless logistics.
- The role involves working closely with the Supply Planning, Sourcing, and Quality teams to synchronize delivery schedules and cargo readiness dates with production plans, ensuring alignment with global demand forecasts. You will also prepare for peak shipping seasons by forecasting space requirements and coordinating detailed execution plans.
- You will actively monitor and report key supply chain metrics, identifying and addressing any issues that could impact delivery timelines or service levels. Risk management, including overseeing compliance with import/export regulations, will be critical in this role. In addition, you will evaluate vendor capabilities, develop plans to mitigate risks, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, cost management, and innovation.
- You will build strong relationships with CMs, 3PLs, and carriers to foster continuous improvement and operational excellence. From time to time, you will visit vendors to ensure alignment on expectations, resolve performance issues, and maintain high standards across the supply chain.
- You will collaborate with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) to align freight plans with production schedules, holding them accountable for performance metrics and ensuring the accuracy of shipping documentation, such as invoices and bills of lading. When issues arise, you will act swiftly to resolve discrepancies and maintain operational efficiency.
