Provide costing & manage procurement for all projects/tenders

Commercial Director/Commercial Manager
3. Educational, Skills Requirements
At least Four to Five (4-5) years of quantity surveying experience, or a Diploma/Degree in relevant disciplines
4. Responsibilities
4.1 Involved in tendering and quotation of Lump Sum and BQ contracts
4.2 To attend site show rounds and assist in collection of tenders
4.3 Measurements, calls for quotation, quotation evaluation, checks for compliance to the tender specifications called for (or equivalent), costing checks for completeness in tender documents, raising tender queries and related documentation
4.4 Review of tender strategy
4.5 Attend tender interviews to represent company for short-listed projects
4.6 Ensure quotations and tender bids are executed on time and within the specifications set by the company
4.7 Expedite submission of data and cost in accordance with time frame as specified in bids
4.8 Prepare quotations, tender and contract documents and manage the financial aspect of the project
4.9 Prepare for the commencement of the project
4.10 Source for suitable subcontractors, material and equipment suppliers
4.11 Issue work orders, purchase orders and material requisitions
4.12 Negotiate with suppliers and sub-contractors fetching the best prices keeping in mind the profit and loss of the project
4.13 Perform contract administration and cost control
4.14 Check whether subcontractors are performing and progressing in accordance with the drawings and the agreed contracts
4.15 Perform taking off from drawings and cost variations
