Job Responsibilities:
• Perform steel structure framing, analysis, design, and detailed drawing work.
• Attend and contribute to project meetings.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, and other professionals to ensure project requirements are met.
• Oversee project progress to ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Prepare and review engineering reports, calculations, and technical documents.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and resolve on-site issues.
• Collaborate with the project team to propose solutions for design and structural challenges.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Manage project documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Perform structural assessments, analysis, and provide technical recommendations for improvements or modifications.
• Work closely with contractors and subcontractors to ensure construction aligns with design specifications.
• Participate in tender preparations, including technical submissions and project costing.
Job Requirements:
• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent (recognized qualifications).
• Minimum 2 years of working experience (higher salary for candidates with greater experience).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or other design software related to structural engineering.
• Experience with steel structure design and analysis will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of local construction regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and techniques, particularly in structural projects.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and address design and site-related challenges.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a focus on quality and deadlines.
• Good project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and reporting.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Ability to perform site inspections and resolve technical or structural issues on-site.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide junior engineers or technical staff.
• A proactive and independent work attitude, with strong attention to detail.
