FINANCE MANAGER / EXECUTIVE (HOTEL BACKGROUND)

HEADLINES INTERNATIONAL SDN BHD

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Monitor company performance against budgets and financial goals.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to align financial plans with business objectives.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and models to support strategic decision-making.
  • Track variances between budgeted and actual financial performance, analyzing and explaining discrepancies.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Monitor cash flow to ensure the organization has adequate liquidity for operations.
  • Manage working capital, including accounts payable and receivable, inventory, and debt.
  • Forecast future cash needs and identify areas for cost control.

Financial Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for business growth.
  • Provide financial advice and recommendations based on analysis of performance data.
  • Assist in investment decisions, mergers, acquisitions, and other financial ventures.

Cost Control and Efficiency:

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies to improve financial efficiency.
  • Review financial operations regularly and suggest improvements in policies, processes, and systems.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with financial procedures.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance policies.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of financial analysts and accountants.
  • Provide guidance on financial best practices, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
  • Conduct performance reviews and ensure ongoing professional development for team members.

Strategic Planning:

  • Support strategic decision-making by providing accurate financial data and analysis.
  • Collaborate with senior management in setting financial goals and long-term objectives.
  • Evaluate new business opportunities and provide financial insights to aid in decision-making.
