Job Responsibilities:
• Handle the full contract tendering process, including tender interviews, evaluations, recommendations, and procurement.
• Prepare tender documents, administer contracts, and perform cost estimation.
• Verify contractor and sub-contractor monthly claims.
• Manage cost control of preliminary budgets and monitor variations in scope of work.
• Attend regular on-site project meetings and resolve contract-related issues promptly.
• Monitor amendments, variation orders, and extensions of time when required.
• Oversee pre- and post-contract management, including material cost, site valuation, and final accounts.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
• Prepare physical reports for ongoing projects.
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
• Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or equivalent qualifications.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in quantity surveying or related fields (higher salary for candidates with greater experience).
• Proficient in AutoCAD or other relevant QS software for measurement and cost estimation.
• Strong knowledge of contract management, tendering procedures, and FIDICor other standard forms of contract.
• Experience in handling steel structure projects (e.g., factories, warehouses) will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with construction claims, cost evaluation, and dispute resolution processes.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with the ability to perform accurate cost estimates and valuations.
• Good understanding of local construction regulations, contract law, and industry standards.
• Experience in preparing Bill of Quantities (BQ) and conducting cost comparisons.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other tools for cost reporting.
• Ability to analyze project budgets, manage costs, and control expenses effectively.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with project stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to visit project sites for monitoring and verification of claims.
