Responsibilities
- Develop and write CNC programs using CAD/CAM software based on engineering drawings or customer specifications.
- Optimize machine operations by selecting the appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for various materials.
- Make necessary adjustments to programs for efficiency and accuracy, ensuring minimal
- Set up CNC milling/lathe machines, including tool selection, tool setting, fixture setup, and material loading.
- Calibrate machines, ensuring proper alignment and positioning before production.
- Conduct first-off inspections to verify part dimensions meet tolerances.
- Operate CNC milling/lathe machines and monitor production processes.
- Ensure parts are produced to the required specifications and within given tolerances.
- Make adjustments to machine settings or programs during production as necessary to maintain quality.
- Supervise and assist in the machining of parts as required.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and etc.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and troubleshoot any defects or deviations.
- Record and maintain accurate documentation of production results and quality checks.
- Perform routine machine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and coordinate repairs when necessary.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure the machine area is clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards
Requirements:
- Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, CNC Programming, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a CNC Milling/Lathe Programmer, Setter, and Machinist.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and CAD files.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code).
- Hands-on experience with CNC milling and lathe machines, including setup and operation.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and quality inspection techniques.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks).
- Knowledge of machine tool maintenance and troubleshooting
- Able to work night shift
