Job Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support and counsel to the company on a wide range of legal issues, including contracts, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies to safeguard the company’s interests.
- Advise management on legal risks and implications associated with business decisions and transactions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations across all business operations and advise on regulatory changes impacting the company.
- Assist in managing legal disputes and litigation, coordinating with external legal counsel as necessary.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support the company's strategic objectives and decision-making process.
- Participate in the development and training of staff on legal compliance and company policies.
- Collaborate with various departments to facilitate legal strategies and initiatives that align with business goals.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal best practices, industry trends, and regulatory developments.
Job Requirements:
- Law degree (LLB) with a valid license to practice law.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a corporate legal environment.
- Strong understanding of contract law, corporate governance, and compliance regulations.
- Exceptional legal drafting and negotiation skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to working with teams across the organization.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
