JOB DESCRIPTION
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and other regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the preparation of tax filings and coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
• Develop and monitor projects to ensure alignment with financial targets.
• Track and control costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities without impacting project quality or timelines.
• Conduct financial forecasting and trend analysis to support project planning and business growth.
• Provide insights to management on cash flow projections, profitability, and resource allocation for future projects.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and uphold internal controls to safeguard assets, prevent fraud an improve operational.
• Identify and manage financial risks, developing strategies to mitigate impacts on cash flow and profitability.
JOB SPECIFICATION
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field or Professional Qualifications such as CPA, ACCA or CIMA are highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Strong experience in the construction or project-based industries, with an understanding of construction-related financial requirements.
• Minimum of 3 years of audit experience is an advantage, bringing additional strength in financial controls and compliance.
• Expertise in financial reporting and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and analysis.
• High attention to detail, integrity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the business, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
