Responsibilities:
- Ensure the company's compliance with occupational safety and health regulatory requirements and implement the safety and health policy and procedures.
- Develop, implement and conduct safety programs to prevent workplace accidents.
- Investigates all workplace safety inspections, identify potential hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Perform regular workplace inspection/internal audit to ensure hazards/risks are mitigated.
- Lead and coordinate the Safety and Health committee meeting.
- To conduct Safety Induction Programmed of new employees and subcontractors.
- Organise and conduct employee safety training to raise safety awareness and improve emergency response capabilities.
- Track and update changes in OSHA standards and relevant regulations to ensure timely compliance. Investigate and report any workplace accidents or violations, providing recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external regulatory bodies to ensure the implementation of best safety practices and standards.
- Liaise with local Authorities such as DOSH. DOE, BOMBA, JKKP and etc.
- To maintain and keep all the safety documents for the purpose of the inspection by any government bodies and audit.
- To carry out any other instruction made by the employer or any person in charge of the place of work on any matters pertaining to safety and health of the place of work.
Requirements:
- At least Diploma or Degree in Occupational, Safety & Health, Environmental or Certification from OSHA/NIOSH.
- Candidate must valid Green Book registration with DOSH (JKKP) for Safety and Health Officer (SHO).
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations, guidelines, and best practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with various departments.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, capable of independent analysis and judgment under pressure.
- At least 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
