Aviation Systems Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Participates in all phases of engineering projects, including design, testing, design review, system integration, support and documentations for the development projects.
2. Identifies requirements and technical specifications for each avionics equipment and UAS component, sourcing materials, testing, characterizing, and optimizing their performance.
3. Integrates new hardware and complex systems, ensuring the final integration meets technical requirements.
4. Educating the organization and clients about the system and hardware integration procedure, its implementation and its use.
5. Manages a diverse range of software and programming tasks to ensure functional system integrations.
6. Develops integration strategies and methods, planning them in accordance with established deadlines.
7. Creating and providing technical documentation to production team.
8. Effectively communicates with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
9. Collaborates closely with other Engineering departments for the transfer of technical knowledge on new products and technologies.
10. Undertakes any ad hoc assignments as per business needs.
11. Performs additional tasks assigned by superiors.

Skills/Knowledge:

1. Hands on experience in the fabrication and integration of electronic equipment, including soldering, wiring, and preparing wiring diagrams and Job Orders, among other skills.
2. Demonstrates a sound methodology for organizing work, making decisions, and setting priorities.
3. Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Exhibits a high degree of self-initiative and the ability to think and act independently.
5. Capable of working as a team player with a customer-focused approach.
