Job Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients for eye exams and other services.
- Manage the scheduling of patient appointments, including follow-ups and consultations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, including medical history and test results.
- Assist with basic vision tests (e.g., measuring visual acuity, conducting preliminary screenings) and prepare patients for examinations.
- Ensure that all optometric equipment is properly maintained and calibrated, assisting in basic troubleshooting.
- Provide information to patients about eye care, procedures, and eyewear options, including contact lenses and glasses.
- Monitor and manage the inventory of eyewear products, contact lenses, and other supplies.
- Support optometrists during examinations and treatments, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Contact patients for follow-up visits, reminders, and to discuss any post-examination care.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and clinic policies, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Job Requirement
- Minimum Certificate and/or Diploma in medical field.
- Have at least a certification in medical assisting or optometric assisting can be beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to accurately handle patient records and perform preliminary tests.
- Ability to manage appointments, inventory, and patient records efficiently.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic office software.
