Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Manage and supervise the daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Perform financial analysis and provide insights to assist in decision-making and business strategy.
- Ensure timely submission of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.
- Coordinate and manage audits, both internal and external, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Monitor cash flow, manage budgeting processes, and ensure efficient financial planning.
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial documents prepared by junior staff.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities.
Requirements:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) are preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SQL, UBS, AutoCount) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Solid understanding of Malaysian tax laws, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
