Senior Specialist, Financial Control & Reporting

Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Specialist, Financial Control & Reporting to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing monthly closing activities, preparing financial reporting packages, and managing year-end audits. You will also maintain fixed and intangible asset registers, adhere to internal controls, and support continuous improvements in work processes. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent qualifications (MICPA, ACCA, CPA), 3-4 years of relevant experience, and strong interpersonal and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and fluency in English are essential.

Job Description:

  • Perform monthly closing activities, including the preparation of financial reporting packages.
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly unaudited financial statements for statutory submissions.
  • Preparation of year end audited financial statement and managing external auditors to complete the year end audit in timely manner.
  • Post manual journals for payroll, lease, accruals, etc., and assist in the preparation of financial statements.
  • Maintain Fixed assets and intangible asset registers.
  • Adhere to internal controls, accounting standards, and tax requirements to maintain financial security.
  • Proactively participate in and support continuous improvements in work processes.
  • Perform assessments of accounting standards and monitor IFRS/MFRS requirements for disclosures.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or MICPA, ACCA, CPA, or its equivalent.
  • 3-4 years of working experience in an accounting-related field. Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm or banking sector is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong people management, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different cultures.
  • Positive and result-driven attitude with strong logic and analytical thinking skills.
  • Team player with excellent organization skills and attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Solid accounting knowledge and familiarity with local tax/audit regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and fluency in English, both written and oral.
  • Flexible and adaptable personality, willing to thrive in a dynamic environment.
