Founded in 1993, Metro Specialist Hospital was the first private hospital in Sungai Petani. The hospital was initially known as Bersatu Medical Centre and in 1996 it was rename Metro Specialist Hospital and was officially opened by the then Minister of health Dato' Chua Jui Meng. Currently the hospital has 120 beds with 24 highly experienced Specialists, 3 Medical Officers and supported by a team of dedicated nurses and allied health staff.
